Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy explains what personal data SnapPark collects, why, and who it is shared with. It covers the SnapPark app for iPhone, this website, and visits to parkings that use SnapPark.

Who we are

SnapPark is a parking booking service based in Morocco. We decide how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us at contact@snappark.app.

What we collect

We collect what the service needs to work, and nothing for advertising.

  • Account details. Your first name, last name and email address, and your phone number if you add one. If you sign up with a password, we store it in hashed form and cannot read it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive an identifier for that account and, from Google, your name and email address.
  • Location. With your permission, the app reads your precise location while it is open, to show parkings near you and estimate travel time. It is never read in the background. We do not save your location to your account; it can appear in our server logs for a limited time.
  • Searches. The places and parkings you search for, so we can show you results.
  • Bookings. The parking you book, the dates and times, the price, the booking status, your QR code, your entry and exit times, your vehicle type, and the reason you give if you cancel.
  • Payments. You pay in cash at the parking. The app does not collect card or bank details. We record the amount and whether it was paid.
  • Device and notifications. A push notification token and the name of your device's operating system, so we can send you booking updates; your time zone; and your IP address, which our servers log.
  • Photos. If you choose a profile photo, it stays on your device and is not uploaded to us.
  • Crash reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, a technical report is sent to us with your account ID, so we can find and fix the problem. We set these reports up to leave out your name, email address and location.
  • At the parking. When you arrive without a booking, an attendant may photograph your number plate to read it. The photo is processed automatically to extract the plate number, and we do not keep it. The plate number is saved with the record of your visit.
  • This website. You do not need an account to browse it. Our servers log requests, including IP addresses. When we run advertising campaigns, the website may load the Meta Pixel to measure them. The app never does.

How we use it

We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account, and verify your email address.
  • Show parkings near you, take your bookings, and let the parking validate your entry and exit.
  • Send you booking confirmations, reminders and other service notifications.
  • Answer your support requests.
  • Find and fix crashes, and keep the service secure and free from misuse.
  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, and the app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with those who help us run the service:

  • Parking owners. The parking you book with sees your name, phone number, email address and booking, so it can validate your entry and contact you about it.
  • Google Cloud and our database provider. They host our servers and data. Our servers run in Belgium.
  • Sentry. Receives crash reports and stores them in Germany.
  • HERE Technologies. Receives your search text and location to suggest places and calculate travel time.
  • Google. Provides the map in the app and Google sign-in.
  • Apple. Provides Sign in with Apple and delivers notifications to your iPhone.
  • Expo. Relays push notifications to your device.
  • Resend. Sends our emails, such as verification codes.
  • Anthropic. Reads the plate number from the photo taken at the parking.
  • Authorities. When the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers are located outside Morocco, so your data may be processed in other countries.

How long we keep it

  • Account details are kept until your account is deleted.
  • Booking and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and legal rules require, including after an account is deleted.
  • Server logs and crash reports are kept for a limited time and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your account and your personal data.
  • Stop or limit a particular use of your data.

To use any of these rights, write to contact@snappark.app. We reply within 30 days. You can also update your profile details and delete your account yourself in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Morocco this is the CNDP, under Law 09-08.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself in the app, under Profile, Personal Information, Delete account. It is deleted immediately, and bookings that have not started are cancelled. You cannot delete it while your car is parked. If you cannot use the app, write to contact@snappark.app from the email address of your account and we delete it within 30 days. Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment records, are kept for the required period, no longer linked to your account, and then deleted.

Children

SnapPark is intended for drivers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Security

Data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections, passwords are stored in hashed form, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
